INTRODUCTION TO THE ARAVIDHAPURAM EVENING SCHOOL

The Aravindhapuram evening school was formed in the year -1987 by the group effort of the volunteered people. Which started functioning at a small thatched shed. The effort put by the youth & the people helped to run this small school. The main aim & intention of this school's formation is to give education to all in this area. This was formed considering the poverty and for the welfare of this area. Functions in our Aravindhapuram Evening School there are 100 students who are being educated and these students are given education and other basic amenities & assistance to their needs who doesn't have any facilities on their own. We are being the teachers and organizers are providing our best efforts in running the school in our school students (both boys & girls) who are in the age group of between 5 and 14 are being thought by able learned teachers these teachers & organizers are rendering their services for the welfare & development of these students without expecting any remunerations or pay neither they receive any financial  assistance for the Aravindhapuram  Evening school to make them well principled is the sole intention of the school. Later we got donation from few donors. That money we spend for build a building. The students are being provided with text book, note books & pens and small library, with the assistance from donor of Ingrida and then few good hearts donors (by blessing of Sri Aurobindo and Sri Mother) there is no other financial assistance for this school.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

We are Starting at 5:30 pm.

• 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm - Games and Yoga.
• 6:15 pm to 6:30 pm - Prayer time.
• 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm -Study hour.

Five Classes of Classification

1. KURUNJI - Age of Student from 5 - 6 years. Consist of student who didn't  know basics. They are taught with help of Games, Story, Songs, Dance, Drama.
2. MULLAI - Age group of 7 - 8 years. Who know the basics (letter, numbers) Pronunciation of words through games, Audio Method. Basic calculation were taught. Story, Drawing, Songs, Games, General knowledge and Drama.
3. MARUTHAM - Age group of 9 - 10 years. Project Method. Tamil, English, maths, Science, social science, General knowledge, Story, Drawing, Songs, Drama, Book reading, Nature medicine of basics.
4. MALLIGAI - Age group of 10 - 12 years. Project Method. Audio tape Method. Grammar teaching, General knowledge, Story  making, Tamil, Maths, Science, social science, Book reading, Nature medicine. Drama, and Dance.
5. THAMARAI - Age group of 12 - 14 years. Project Method. Tamil, English, Maths, Science, Social science, where taught through project methods. General knowledge, Nature medicine, Book reading and Drama.

• Every week Quiz Programs contester for all.
• Every year Cultural dance programs (folk dance).
• Every year Educational Trip.
• Every year Summer camp.

These are taught with help of Eight Volunteers teachers (youth) from our village.

ORGANIZING & MANAGEMENT OF OUR ARAVIDHAPURAM EVENING SCHOOL

This school is being run the leadership of Mr. P. GOPINATHAN and Mr. S. AYYANAR and is also run by Shankar, Murugan, Arokiyaraj, Rasu, Premkumar, Anbarasu, Aruljothi, Mohan, eight other youth assistant teachers. There are no good financial help for this school now. And moreover, we are financially disabled to expand the school by providing larger infrastructure facilities to the students & assistance to them. But we are by heat have the enthusiasm and curiosity to expand and make our school big. If there are good financial assistance help and generous donations for our school, we would be able to educate the students and work for the welfare of the villagers as a whole. We also request kind help and support in any form of donations for our school and we would be much grateful & thankful to you ever.

ESSENTIAL THINGS NEEDED FOR OUR SCHOOL

1. THE GAMES AND SPORTS  MATERIALS:
   Before we start our evening classes are used to conduct  sports and games. Now and then we would like to conduct yoga classes. These activities help students to concentrate on their evening studies while the students are playing. They are all very happy and joyful.
2. SNACKS:
   We are not able to provide evening snacks to our students due to lack of funds after their regular each activities of school. Their peasants will come to home only around 6.0 clock at evening their night  food will be ready only at 8.30-9.0 clock. Hence the student are spending 3.30 hours in the evening school in which they play and yoga in the evening time and during study time they are getting tired spontaneously .if we provide good snacks everyday they will be well nourished and will be able to concentrate on their studies more and more without being tired of their studies.
3. STUDY BOOKS:
   We are need of resource book to clarify the doubt of students and the teachers .they are facing the doubts while they are learning and teaching respectively to improve their general knowledge we are in needing many kind books.
4. STATIONERIES:
   in a pleasant  environment with joyful learning atmosphere we teaching students through games and activities through songs and plays .teachers and students are in need of stationeries like notebook to practice their learning and skills
5. EDUCATIONAL TIPS:
   We would like to conduct on the sport studies in order to provide correct knowledge, neighter the school nor the parents arrange any field trip.
6. TEACHER:
   Eight teachers are involving in this evening school .they are all teaching 65 students .all of these eight teachers are doing their jobs volunteered. They are not receiving any maintenance. If they where given some small amount of pocket money monthly it will be helpful to them to proceed more.
